Invention Improves Conditioning of Laser Diodes Output Characteristics

Pennington, N.J.- Dec. 23, 2009 – PD-LD, Inc., the worldwide leader in Volume Bragg Grating® (VBG®) technology, was recently awarded a U.S. patent for new apparatus and methods that will enable simplified and more efficient stabilization of laser diodes. The invention uses VBG technology to alter one or more output characteristics of light-emitting devices, such as lasers, laser diodes, light-emitting diodes, etc.

PENNINGTON, N.J. –Dec. 21, 2009 – PD-LD, Inc., the worldwide leader in Volume Bragg Grating® (VBG®) technology, has been contracted to participate in a $17.5 million bridge deck deterioration assessment and rehabilitation design project led by Rutgers University Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation. Pennington, N.J. (January 23, 2009) – PD-LD, Inc., the worldwide leader in Volume Bragg Grating® (VBG®) technology, today announced a licensing agreement with Ondax, Inc. of Monrovia, Calif.

The agreement provides Ondax with the licensing rights to use PD-LD’s VBG technology in Ondax manufactured photonic elements and technologies. It also allows Ondax to pass on sub-licensing rights to its customers to use Ondax’s products in subsequent applications in systems and instrumentation.
