VBG®-stabilized modules for SERDS (Shifted Excitation Raman Spectroscopy)

VBG®-stabilized laser stabilization enables production of sources with closely spaced emission wavelengths, e.g., 0.5nm or 1 nm apart. Such pairs of sources are essential for Raman spectroscopy of biological and other samples where fluorescence obscures that Raman spectra. This technique, known as Shifted Excitation Raman Differential Spectroscopy, or SERDS, allows the elimination of the effects of fluorescence by simply subtracting spectra obtained with the first laser from the spectra obtained by the second laser, thus greatly enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio of the measurement. PD-LD offers the following standard SERDS products, please contact us for customized SERDS options.
